Top Electronic Cigarettes Reviews — an archive of the first e-cigarette era
This site published e-cigarette reviews from 2013. Most of the products it covered no longer exist, and most of the companies behind them are gone. Rather than leave a decade-old buying guide online pretending to be current, it has been rebuilt as a record of what happened.
Brand retrospectives
V2 Cigs
The largest cigalike brand in the US. Acquired by Juul Labs in 2018 and shut down within weeks.
South Beach Smoke
One of the oldest names in the American market, and one of the very few still trading.
Vapor Couture
The e-cigarette sold as a fashion accessory. Discontinued — but the playbook outlived it.
Why an archive
Between 2013 and 2019 the American e-cigarette market was rebuilt twice: once by regulation, once by the arrival of pod systems and the capital that came with them. Reviews written before those shifts describe a market that no longer exists, which makes them useless as buying advice and genuinely interesting as a record.
Every page kept here was one this site originally published. Where the underlying product is discontinued, the page says so plainly instead of pretending otherwise.
